ABOUT COMPUTER SMILES
Computers have been founder Marc Goldstein’s hobby since 1985. In recent years, he’s recycled, rebuilt, and reprogrammed many computers. Usually he just gave them away to family and friends. In the summer of 2017, he realized that there were many underprivileged students, families, and senior citizens who wanted or needed computers but just couldn’t afford them. He recognized that he could help others in the larger community while still doing what he loved and founded Computer Smiles in September 2017. Computer Smiles acts as the Robin Hood of Computers, locating and acquiring gently used computers from businesses and individuals that no longer need them. We rebuild, refurbish, and reprogram these computers to align with modern standards and then we donate them to underprivileged students, families, and senior citizens who lives can be improved by owning their own computer(s). The gift of giving makes us as happy as our recipients. Currently, our goal is to give away at least 50 computers each year.
